Has anybody put the fairing from a firebolt on a lightning? What retailers would have the fairing stays and other associated parts? Does anybody have pictures? I'm sorry for all the questions, but I'm bored floating around in the pacific and I would like to do this to my bike the next time I see it.

Yeah. That's exactly what I was looking for. I would swap, but the bike is at my dads house. I was just wanting the parts to be waiting there for me when I come home.

I'm not sure. Maybe because I'm never satisfied. For a project when I'm on leave. Because I wanted a firebolt when I bought the lightning? Is this something I shouldn't do?

lol, it's your bike...do whatever makes your clock tick! I don't get it, it looks so disjointed like 2 bikes halved together...but it's not my bike! There's been a handful of folks doing these swaps lately, and I always scratch my head when I look at the bikes.

I love that our bikes have the ability to be configured in so many ways like this. I personally don't care for the r front with the s tail but then again I am sure some people don't like the r tail with the s front to each their own I love my bike the way she looks now.

I like the R front on the S, but not the other way around. The bigger tail on the R looks funny, to me, with the small S front. I agree with Firebolt020283, I like how these bikes can be put together like Legos.

A few years back, I saw a Uly, I believe, with a R front. It was red and looked great. It would be a perfect touring bike for me.
