just wondering if you can run the K&N on the stock tune - everything else being stock.

the engine seems to have some hesitation when blipping the throttle or at low speeds sometimes with quick non-wot throttle inputs

it seems to hiccup more than my carbed tuber which seems backwards to me...

Did you run it long enough to let the computer relearn?

I bought a K&N filter myself and will be installing it as soon as this #$%#! snow gets the #%$^&#@# away!

you'll likely be fine if that's the only mod- the "relearn" will happen at steady cruising speed for 10-15 minutes.

however, the "hiccup" is more likely due to the crap your breathers spew into your intake (just like the tubers had). Reroute the breathers and you'll find it is MUCH smoother, especially at lower rpms.

Absolutely - I can't believe that simple mod made such a big difference in driveability.

Amazing.

Agreed. That and the 9 gearing (pretty much the stock gearing on tubers) changed the Uly into a whole new beast!
