i am new to the buell world . when i bought this bike 2002 white lightening x1 several weeks ago it had under 6000 miles...the guy said it does wheelies for days, among other things. not being a pro wheelie man by any means i have over the past few weeks been getting the front tire off the ground...barely.... question is this....is my clutch going out or is my technique all wrong....cuz i cant seem to get the thing to really " STAND UP" like the big boys....what gives?

rap it up to about 3500-4000 let off n let the shocks compress when its coming back up hit it hard n itll come right up
works like a charm on my xb but iwth a 7500 rev limit it dont make for riding them very long
now SECOND gear is were u NEED the clutch

You'd get more on the point knowledge from the Quick Board or the Old School Buell board. The XBoard is for the XB platform bikes.

That said, an X1 should have absolutely no problem doing power wheelies in first OR second gear - no clutch.

Shove it Ken, you dont always have to be a prick do you? I state a fact that the thing would not do a 2nd gear wheelie no matter what techinque was tried....& I have done 2nd gear wheelies on lots of bikes...& it absolutely refused to do so.
