All, I have an extra set of wheels and would like to pick up the small bottle of touch up paint. I have Froggy's gouge http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/443642.html but I'm not sure what the color would be. Seems to be a dark gray - not quite black? I suppose it's the "Villian Black" color scheme but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

It is either Villain Black or Phantom Metallic. Villain is glossy and smooth, Phantom is textured, and is the same as your frame/swing-arm. I can't recall off hand if the 09 SS had Phantom or Villain wheels.

Froggy, this seems to be glossy. I'm not sure which year they are from. I bought them off a guy who was going to use them on some sort of Sportster project. They had the old bearings; not sure which year they switched to black - 08?

Ah that is Villain for sure, as Phantom is pretty new. The newer bearings aren't really that much better anyway.

Thanks Froggy. As for the bearings, I thought I could notice a slight hitch in the front so replaced those with the newer ones; the rear felt fine so I'm sticking with them. I figure I will probably replace tires at least twice this year (maybe more with a track day or two) so I will have a chance to check them every 3-4 months. I'm not changing them until I notice some degradation.

Froggy, which part number would be the right one for the touch up paint? I didn't see a "Villian Black" in your previous post of colors. Is it one of the grays?

Intersting, I can't find one for it. Here are what the colors are for.

GRAPHITE GREY - Older XB12 frames
MAGNESIUM TONE - XB12 Engine parts
TRANSLUCENT AMBER - The goldish XB rims
HAMMERTONE SILVER - Various XB parts
FUSION BRONZE - various 08 1125R parts
CHERRY BOMB RED - Cherry red XB wheels
HERO BLUE - Blue XB wheels
PHANTOM METALLIC - Textured black XB rims, 09+ frames.
MILLENNIUM SILVER - Tuber color
POLISHED ALLOY - Tuber color
VOLCANO GRAY - Tuber color
BLAZING ORANGE - Tuber color
XB, SILVER - Fluid silver, older XB9 frames
BLACK CHROME - Tuber color
TITANIUM SILVER - Tuber color
TITANIUM - Tuber color.

I checked again, I don't see one for Villian Black, Sunset Orange, or Sky White. I hate to say it, but might be a case of tough luck, unless someone knows the part numbers I can't find.
