the only part I had to have chromed was the arm/bracket on the oil cooler. everything else is aluminum, and striped/polished

Tim:

Did you coat your polished parts with a clearcoat like Nyallic so they (a) won't dull and (b) won't need continuous polishing?

This is what I use for my show cars and it works very nicely (Supercharged 357 CID Saleen Mustang w/ 580 RWHP/540 RWTQ) :

Chris' Barney Mobile - Engine Compartment

Awesome job on the bike. Can't wait to see her when she's all done up!

tommorow the swingarm, and finish up the frame by the forks. that part was REALLY ruff, nasty casting marks or whatever it was, 80g to take it down some.

then ALOT of cleaning up to do.. of course it will rain all weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a true work of Buell Art! Are you going to put on the chin fairing or maybe a belly pan on it? In green or maybe all black.

Mike.

Tim -- I'm just trying to save what's left of your fingers man!

I need to go and find the label because I think I spelled the product's name incorrectly. Ah, nevermind, here you go:

http://www.nyalic.com/

Works very well...best of show trophies can attest to that and all I did was spray and wipe my chromed and polished parts...

oh, I'm not putting the chin gaurd on yet, force pipe might break again.
if I end up with this pipe, I'll cut off all the mouning brackets and leave it off.

Holy cow!

I'm polishing the rims of my wheels and after only the right side of the rear wheel I'm all sore and feel like hiring some one to finish it! I hate polishing! HAHA!!

But the result is very nice. Good job mate!

It gets old Dana. I hear what you are saying. Got real damn tired of always polishing the HD up, now I might clean it once a year. Just dont care anymore, want to ride not polish.

New Buell slogan "ride to polish, polish to ride".
