I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm still going to ask. I'm no Rossi, but I like to ride my bike pretty hard and love to really lean in the corners. I took the time to set up my suspension, and I keep the tires to recommended psi, but I really think the Dunlops that come stock are for . I've never had a bike that slips and slides so much in a turn! I,m going to assume it's the tires cause I can't believe Buell would put out that crappy of a chassis. Plus I've heard other people that I ride w/ that aren't on Buells say their bikes rode like junk on Dunlops. So here is the question and I'll assume there will be a ton of different opinions, but thats what I'm looking for. I'm considering M-1's. What do you people think is a good street tire that really sticks well warms up fairly fast and wears ok. If it only lasts a season or two, thats ok w/ me. I'd rather have to replace a set of tires once a season than slide out in a corner and replace the whole bike. Thanks for you opinions! |

My Pirelli Diablos are great. Just had them on a week and they solved my wiggles.... Stiffening suspension setup might help too. |

I can vouch for the Metzler M1's. Have them on my XB and it cleared up all the handling quirks, especially the low speed manuverabilty instability. |

I can't recommend any specific tires (yet), but I did recently read that the 5th place finisher in the most recent Daytona 200, Lee Acree, ran the race on DOT Pirellis--and he ran the entire race on the same front tire. PDG, I'd say. |

brickstones? jw. i read where michelins were like cheating and they weren't going to let them be raced, because of the extra edge. when it all comes down to it everyone has a different style that they like because of how the tire companies differ in feel. they slide different, grip dif, some catch road snakes some dont like water... pick the top from the brand and you shouldn't be dissapointed. then after you ride the edges off you can mount them on your commuter bike right. lol |
