Well, on my way back from seeing "Tron: Legacy", I discovered that my headlight had burned out. Normally not a big deal, but since I've done a single headlight conversion, it made things a little interesting. Yeah, I switched to high beam... and it burned out just seconds later. Had to rely on some improperly oriented fog lights to get me home.

Anyhoo, picked up a Silverstar replacement bulb from Advance, and while I was there grabbed a little rocker switch. The bike has been hard to start for awhile, and I think it's because I was pulling 210 watts from the electrical system as soon as I turned on the switch. Since I already had the headlights all apart, I decided to wire my two 55w fogs on a switch so I could keep them off until the bike was running.

Found a nice little spot tucked up underneath my fairing and 3M taped the switch to the gauge cluster. Feels rock solid. Lights work great, new bulb is working MUCH better than the old one, even though it's a lower wattage (the one that came with the old M2 headlight was an odd 100W bulb with a blue-tinted rubber wrap... who knows how old it was). Even went back and put better ends on the aux power leads so it makes a more solid connection on the battery terminal.

Huzzah! I feel productive!

Sweet. I was doing a job today, and decided to make twice as many parts as I needed. Next order, grab em off the shelf, and ship em out.
