I am considering painting the inside of my translucent air box and the wind screen since I am not a fan of seeing the wires and plastic air box cover. Does it make sense to in fact paint the inside so I keep the coating in tact on the outside (less trouble maintaing)and don't have to remove the "x", although I am not a fan of that either? Any feedback/input is much appreciated. Thanks as always... | ||

your profile says black, so im assuming you have the smoked(kick ash) plastics? if it was me id just round up a black set of plastics or swap someone as some, if not all(havent checked all availability) of the translucent plastic is not available from hd anymore. i wouldnt wreck a good set when a fellow bueller may really want a set! | ||

my profile has my 04 lightning, and I do have the kick ash on my 2010. I understand the perspective of not wanting to "ruin" the good set, but finding a new black set is tricky and more expensive than I think I am willing to deal with. If I could find someone with a really good set that wants to trade I'd probably be willing to do that... | ||

not really, its stock pile for the other bikes, but replacing it with a smoked one has crossed my mind before. |
