On the NEW type swingarms. Per the service manual; is oil line #1 the vent, #2 the feed, and #3 the return? I have an 05 manual, and now have an 07 swingarm. I need the oil line numbers so I can see what goes where. Thanks in advance. | ||

Thats exactly what I need. In my manual, #2 is the feed. I just needed to make sure I'm not switching the feed and return. To make the lines off of the new swingarm work, all that is needed is 1 fitting. No cutting necessary. You will be getting the 3 complete lines from me. Cheers!  | ||

There is also a plastic cover for the vent fitting to stop your sub-harness from chaffing. The pipes will only fit one way. Best thing to do is offer them up... And good luck with the struggle to get the sub-harness inside the sprocket cover along with the pipe numbered 2. | ||

jack  what are the oil lines that go from the cooler made of??? are they rubber lines surrounded by metal-mesh? bc i need to replace mind, they are seeping badly | ||

watch ebay for the lines they are stupid expensive at the dealer. I got a set that was listed as buy it now for 25.00 with shipping once. savings of around 300.00 + bucks. 03/04 old style arms oil line are becoming more and more hard to get. | ||

Here's the gig! I have another oil line in the electric wire routing area, and theres no room under the wire loom part of the front sprocket cover. The 07+ sprocket covers were different for a reason. I'm going to get a newer cover, or use what I got for a template and make something that fits! Maybe redesign a loom cover.......................  This is the only hold-up. | ||

Think you'll find the black plastic wire guide is slightly different on the 06/07/08/09/10 models (guard is slightly more raised - shares same part number though) to allow for the subharness to be packed out a little more by the breather/return pipe. | ||

I'll shoot a pic in later. I put 1/4" plastic spacers between the front screws of the pulley cover, and the mounting posts. That'll have to do for now. If I stumble on a newer cover, I'll pick it up. The center of it is cut out for my pulley cover. Looks great, just has a small gap. Can't see it unless your looking for it. I think I'll look at the vent line/harness situation one more time. Just to make sure. I think they are pretty cheap new.  |
