Keep your left foot forward or on the peg at stops. Not sure how the exhaust fumes are giving you headaches. Sitting in traffic alot?

tag along like behind you on her own bike or ride with?

maybe you could lean it out a little bit if you are running that rich for a foul fuel smell out the exhaust, perhaps an aftermarket filter and ECM spy will help.

if its ride with maybe you could get her on her own bike?
I know that's what I did to fix the uncomfortable ride of my bike : D
$400 used starter bike or equally expensive corbin seat was my choice

yours could be cheap used bike or aftermarket filter exhaust (E.B.R. ECM too if you need help with justifying it to the wife)
