Not knowing what kind of quality control is happeing in the Chinese factory that is buillding the knock offs is the issue. I *assume* that the large manufacturers (Honda, Suzuki, Triumph etc.) perform and/or require durability testing of their parts that are supplied by an outside source. If they manufacture it themselves then durability testing would be part of the design & engineering process.
It would seem that anything to negate the opportunity of a lawsuit by mr customer would be taken.

so my levers arrived in the mail yesterday, like i said i ordered two sets one gold set for my my friend and his x1, and the blue set for my bolt. Well after emailing the guy three times and saying what i needed in the notes section for paypal he still got my order wrong.... i recieved 2 sets of gold ones, so i'm working with him now to get my correct levers |

mine came in as well yesterday, i ordered from the same seller as the link posted by IMan501.
they fit perfectly, i ordered the buell xb specific ones from the seller.
a couple of very small nicks on the anodizing but negligible for the price i paid.
mine came in the same color as gentleman_jon on his ducati but shorty version, gives me some adjustability in fine tuning my clutch.
BTW, i found that my wife's blast will fit the same model levers as XB, i grafted the stock adjustable XB brake lever i removed to her blast. |

they fit perfectly, i ordered the buell xb specific ones from the seller.
thats good to know! i was betting i'd have to grind them down some like everybody has had to do with the suzuki levers!
so they dont touche the plunger at all untill you pull on the brake?! |

it rests on the master cylinder piston but does not activate the brake light switch until you pull on it.
small tip on replacing the clutch side, you don't have to adjust the cable if you already have it set, once you take off the bolt holding the lever down to the bracket you can pull the lever off the bracket (attached to the handle bar) with the cable to slide off the cable end from the slot in the old lever. then reverse to install the new one.. |

i ordered these levers on november 29th.....i still don't have them....
my friend put his gold ones on his X1, and they fit fine! (or as far as i could tell they fit fine) |

It's none of my business what others do but, I would NEVER put some Chink knock-off anything anywhere near my front brakes. Yikes... |
