Does anyone have a good sound clip of the Buell race can? I have never heard (or seen) one and it seems to fit the bill. Everything else is just too loud for my wants/needs. | ||

I have sound clips I took of both stock and race pipe/K&N Only installed...they are about 225 KB WinZip files that I could send to you...but your e-mail is hidden. If you want I could send them your way. They are decent but more importantly they were both recorded from the same positions/day using my PDA. The relative difference can be heard along with the volume difference. These were recording using an XB9R. Just got mine put on today and it's absolutely perfect for what I want. I can't believe that anyone can deal with pipes louder than this, but I guess I'm just gettin' old. I love the race pipe. It's made my bike (combined with the race ECM, K&N and 12 airbox) just perfect for me. I'll record mine tomorrow for you. CHris | ||

Lovematt, Thanks for the files. I did the same when I tried the Latus muffler way back when. It was so loud, I sold it to another Badwebber within 3 days of installing it. I have a wileyco and it sounds good but never was able to get the chin fairing mounted quite right with their brackets. I was hoping the Buell can would be the answer. I am half tempted to pull the Termis off my duc and fabricate the pipes to make a rear exit hi-mount 2 into 1 into 2 system.  edited by bykergeek on June 06, 2004 | ||

The chin fairing fits perfect with the Race Can...it is an OEM shape except for the dual outlet tips. In addition to two tips they are both pointed a bit more level...maybe even upwards a bit. | ||

I have a jardine on my 12r, loud as hell but looks great and comes with brackets that actually work for the chin fairing. I'll post some pics. | ||

the race can looks just like the stock can except its the same color as the frame and has tips on both sides sounds OK not like a real harley if u ask me tho | ||

Unfortunately I can't get a picture up right now. The race can in question looks just like the one above, except it's black and in equally as good condition ... I assure you. |
