Yep, done that before, but without a broken belt. 1083 miles in 18.5 hrs 2-up. The IBA is a fine organization. Were you trying to become a member?

in regard to the Iron Butt org, we where unable to obtain fuel receipts from at least 4 fuel stops. the pump took credit card, dispensed fuel, but would not spit paper. no attendant on sight. we are talking about tiny little towns out in the sticks. just lucky we could buy fuel at all. i did take a few pictures along the way, and scott did obtain a signature from a cop in palmer. he was packing some iron butt papers.
no paperwork for me, i was just up for the ride.

update from the ironbutt assoc. we are missing too many fuel receipts to qualify. so we are planning a run to Whitehorse over the july 4th weekend. 920 miles one-way from Homer,AK. we will most likely take it slow and steady maybe take 20 hours there, and then camp a bit on the return trip, fill up a 3 day weekend with the roundtrip. IF the harley shop can fix my forks by then.
