hey all, i wanted to polish up the pipes on my xb (they are gold now, with the purple near the motor) i put some polish on a small part and it didnt do anything but haze the color up...does anyone have any info or could let me know wot polish is the best to use to get the pipes the silver color and or all gold again?

Use steel wool with the polish.

It will turn back to how it is quick, maybe you should look into a Jet-Hot coating.

But if you really want to polish it, I found Heavy Metal brand polish to work well. For the pipes I found ripping a towel into strips, coating them with the polish, looping them around the pipes, and working them back and forth - like a wire saw or a shoe shine boy in a 30's movie - works well.

This worked well to polish out some fine gouging on a lower fork leg too, kept the piece round and no leaks now.

Dj use Eagle One medal polish or Flitz polish and apply with paper towel rub it on real good then remove it with a nice soft terry cloth.It will work great.
