I had no problems putting my new belt on the other day. It went on per the manual with no problems, and has 3/8 deflection on the top and bottom. After 200 miles no problems. The bearings never even got warm after 100 continuous miles. I would not hesitate to change one on the side of the road.
The only complaint I do have is that the first time the belt was shipped, the part number on the box was right, and the belt was for a Uly. I had to wait another week to swap it for the one I needed. Cheers!

Is the part number on the belt? I better make sure my spare is the right one. How should a person store the spare belt? Mine is still in the box should I take it out?

Thanks, Murf2

Yes the part number is on the belt.

G0500.1AKx for Uly/SS/STT
G0500.1AAx for 2004+ Firebolt/S/SX/SCG
G0500.02A8x for 2003 XB models.

The x is a variable, and changes depending on when your belt was made.

You can store it by leaving it in the box, or you can hang it on the wall. It isn't recommended to coil it up, but thats a debate for another thread : )
