It's a Honda.

I've got a few pics at better angles as I recall..

I didn't realize it had two calipers on the front rotor though.

It seems like it would be pretty aerodynamic w/o a rider...

Too many stolen Buell ideas if you ask me. I like my 12R better.

Here's the thing, look at the slight difference in technology between that bike and a XB.

Now remember which is a prototype show bike and which is a current production motorcycle. Way to go Buell.

That is sex on wheels

And that's what I say about the xb as well.

My first guess was MV Agusta. Would have never guessed Honda.

Did you notice the frontfork? Pretty cool.

I was going to say, nobody makes that bike. At least not one you can buy.

Hi Craig!

Saw it at the Phila. motorcycle show a few years back.
It was roped off they wouldn’t even let you get within five feet of it.

It looks fast and based on their product line it probably would be fast but I guess we will never know.

That’s the problem with concept bikes their job is to look good, stir the imagination and make us drool not to actually work.

There' a guy on the www.motorcycleusa.com forums that uses it as his avatar. It's awesome for a concept, but will it see the light of day in production?

I'd LOVE to have it in my garage . . . .

concept bikes/cars/aircraft . . . . . much easier to design something that you KNOW will never have to start, much less negotiate the Gap at a good rate of knots . . . . .

still think it's gorgeous . . . .

This IS a production bike, albiet limited production. Notice the Buell-ish front brake and underslung muffler (production bikes come with a single disc like the Buells, two disc setup is optional for those who like overkill). Note also that this is a 1064cc pushrod V-twin with a 5-speed transmission...

What did buell patent on their rim mounted brake system? I remember reading the Zero Torsional Load 'whitepaper', and if that is patented, these guys should be in trouble.

I think they patented something to do with using springs in the mounting of the disk to the rim . . .in any event, the perimeter disk thing has been floating around the car and bike world for quite some time . . . . .this, of course, takes nothing away from Buell's first production use of the idea (as far as I know)

I seem to recall that they patented the mounting system that allows the rotor to float...

I'm sure there are 57 other ways of doing it, but if they don't work as good then when the rest of the world migrates to perimeter disks they'll have a disadvantage.

That Honda won't ride worth a s***t!

That's totally missing the point. It's a CONCEPT bike - otherwise there'd be no point in having a CONCEPT bike.

For me it shows bold design and it's the business to look at - which is why it's a concept I imagine?

there's another Guzzi build by Ghezzi that is much nicer esthetically than the Furia. Also the new Mecatwin.com bikes are pretty nice but not in the same league in terms of design. As for the Honda, nice design concepts and they have done quite a bit of innovative work in the past - single sided swingarm onthe VFR - the V4 and 5 motors, coupled braking, etc... Sure, not quite Buell level but they need production because they can't get away with charging inordinate sums for their bikes. ; )

I think it looks neat, but the muffler looks like an afterthought... It seems like it's something that they threw on later.

The front intakes look like it's trying to emulate a jet fighter. Ok, that's great. The single-sided front fork, (it's not really a fork though, since it doesn't actually fork) is another interesting innovation.

But other than that, it's not stellar. It reminds me a lot of the XB's. And the XB's are actual production motorcycles. I'm not that impressed.

That's an old Honda prototype. We had it here at a party last year. In fact, the Hoda folks were here from Torrance last week and I have all the pictures I posted here a year or so of the NAS.

It is a great looking bike and feels good to sit on. Really the only diiference in the NAS and my Buell is that you can buy a Buell and the Buell starts and can be ridden.

Great art.

Thanks, Gary.
