August 25, 2010 LET'S RIDE!!!! It's a Wednesday Ride. I was thinking about a 'Pass Blast'. I haven't been over 108 yet this year and I'm needing to get my fix. This is going to be full tanks /bellies start to the morning and lunch in Markleeville. Meet time: 8:45-9:00 Meet spot: Chip's Chevron 18151 California 108, Jamestown,CA. Passes: hwy 108 (Sonora), hwy 89 (Monitor), hwy 4 (Ebbetts) Pace: Not afraid to lean the bike over and get some!!!! C+ B Gear: wear it!!!! I'm out of San Andreas. Does this help? Also, what direction are you coming from? Chip's Chevron 18151 California 108, Jamestown,CA. I tried to get fancy with googlemaps.com but this is all I ended up with. | ||

Can't make the ride but it's one of my favorites. Just down from Chevron and across the street from Jamestown Harley is Woods Creek coffee shop. Best breakfast in Jamestown and a great place to meet up instead of a gas station parking lot. You could show up early for breakfast or a coffee before kickstands up. Just a thought. Keep the ride invites posted, might be able to make the next one. | ||

Mbest-Yeah I thought about doing Bfast meet before the meetup time. But not sure I can get there any sooner. But buy all means if anybody wants too, go for it. I haven't been to the Woods Creek, but I have done the Mexican food place across the street. Good bfast there too. Hope to see/meet some of you in the morning of the 25th. Jbolt-Do you or have you done RFR? I still need to get over to that track. Why Wednesday? Because I have the day off, babysitter for the kid and the time to do it. Added bonus, it's a weekday and traffic isn't so bad. It would really be cool to get a group of Buells out to a Track Day. Drummer's, D&D's, and Jardine's rumbling all over the place. We would have to make sure it's a Track suitable for Buells ( Sears Point, Streets of Willow, RFR?). I hope to see you on a Ride sometime. | ||

Alright, you make Wednesday sound not so bad. Except I have to work. I've been wanting to get out to RFR...still no leathers. I went once as a spectator. Talked to a couple guys riding R1's, they said they were hitting 140ish on the straight. The birds eye view (google maps) of the track looks like it would be fun. | ||

Badrap- yes that's the plan. I'm not sure what time we will get there. I hear there is chip and seal work going on hwy 108, 89 and 4. I think 'shifty' is coming from here. There is also about 5 other's. Guys and gal I ride with most often. Should be a great day of Riding. The Valley going to be HOT!!!! | ||

Shifty thanks. I don't know if I'll make it or not. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped. My father in law got foreclosed on and has to be out of the house this week. (so glad he waited for the last minute to ask for help) Are you near UOP? my daughter is going there and I might drop something off to her while I'm out that way. If not I can do that on the way home. Hell, That's alot of miles for my old @$$. I'm no knee dragger but it sounds fun! | ||

I’ll be at the Deli in Markleeville at about noon. I hope we cross paths. Went up Monitor yesterday and it was clear. I did see a lot of CalTrans vehicles driving around. They were probably looking for a place to stand around.  | ||

Sslowmo; Unfortunately no, I usually ride the passes 4, 89, 108, 120, 49..... I did make it to New Priest grade and Parrots Ferry this year. | ||

Badrap-The Mini/little Dragon, love that road.Parrots Ferry now you are getting real close to my neck of the woods. when your over that way (columbia) try Big hill to middle camp rd. Takes you up to Strawberry on hwy 108. Maybe you have? | ||
