Can anybody verify if the undertail of an 1125r will fit on my firebolt. I want to use the 1125r tail light and move my license plate under the tail more. I know that the 1125r undertail doesn't have the extra hole for a license plate light and that's why I want it. Thanks | ||

It *may* be a bit wider/longer. If it is, it ain't by much. If you're handy with small hand tools, you could trim it enough to make it fit just right. If it's larger, I *think* they're the same size, they sure look it parked side by side. | ||

before you change out tail section take a look at the NEW TAIL SECTION AT TROJAN HORSE. Sharpest tail section ive ever seen on a buell and only 217$ I ordered one myself for the yellow XB12R firebolt | ||

Jake could you post a link to the one you bought? I looked on the site but I'm not sure if I am looking at the same one. I really am only interested in changing the undertail though because I need my back seat. I just want to clean up the tail section by relocating my plate. The stock firebolt undertail just has the cut out for the license plate light which I wont need anymore after I put the plate further back. | ||

you know its alot easier just to paint the inside of the lens black where its clear... thats what i do on mine. and the 1125 undertail is ALOT deeper/thicker. it should be the same witdh/length since the same tail section can be used between bikes, but im not so sure all the same mounting spots are there because the subframes are different |
