I was leading the rides at my dealers demo day on my nine and at the end of ride all the bikes fans would come on except mine it has come on this season but not on the demo day or since I was wondering if there was a way to test the fan maybe with a hairdryer? | ||

I noticed the same thing when we did demo rides at T.W.O. I figured it was because all the demo bikes had less than 1000 miles on them. I remember when my bike was new the fan ran a lot. Now with over 17000 miles the fan doesn't run near as much. As for testing it. I wouldn't know how to test the sensor, but the fan ought to be able to hook it up to power to see if it runs. | ||

Did you check the fuses? There's one for the fan. | ||

Maybe the difference is oil temp? Synthetic supposedly runs 30 odd degrees cooler. This could account for the fan not coming on as often as it did when the bike was new, filled with HD 20w50. Just a theory... | ||

Have your dealership hook the bike up to the Digital Technician and run the cooling fan test in the Pinpoint Diagnostics section. From hook up to disconnect it'll take two minutes to see if something croaked. | ||

Mine comes on every end of ride..3200 miles on bike..Does your fan come on at all? | ||

my fan is not coming on check fuses there good to go the temp has dropped here in winnipeg about 10-15C but last year the fan came on in cold weather after a spirited ride I'll take it to the dealer and see if he will give me some shop time thank for the suggestions  Rippin up the prairies |
