Interchangeability...big word...

Are xb 12 s wheels interchangeable with xb9s wheels? I need a second set and wondering if I can broaden my search scope.

THANKS!!

Yes they are all the same with the exception of maybe the 2010 wheels and the uly wheels which will still work but I belive they are heavier or something to that nature

I thought the 2010 wheels, rear specifically was still interchangeable, just took different bearings and spacer. Basically the maintenance parts for the wheel are different, but that the whole assembly was a simple swap. Anyone know for certain.

Bearing are the same on all XB's all years. The bearing's are different on the rear wheel of the 1125's.Uly wheels are different then XB wheels. But I believe will fit.

That's right, Uly wheels are a bit beefier, but interchangeable.

I know in '10 they went to a double bearing on the drive side of the back. I believe that has lead to different part numbers as they are sold in sets. The spacer has to be shorter so that will be different.

I thought that XT wheels were the same as other XB wheels, not as beefy at X wheels. Is that right?

I would imagine that's correct. The Uly had heavier wheels because it was expected to go off road where you were more likely to bend a rim. The XT was a street bike with no skid pan and road only tires.

I just got a 2010 black rear wheel that has the 3 bigger bearings. (2 on the belt side) it came with a new axle, spacer and bearings. I didn't compare axles so I'm not sure, but I think they are different too.

It makes sense that the rear axle would have to be changed. I doubt the old axle was designed to support that third bearing. I'm sure the old axle would "work" but without support of the third bearing you would be missing the benefit.
