Not even 15000 miles and its been in the shop for 6 weeks. Not happy at all. No wonder they stopped making them. |

On a serious note brutus it could be the shop! Buells are not that complicated. I would do a lot of research, what was the bike doing? From now on consider bringing your issues to the fourms before paying a shop. At least you might get an idea of what is wrong so you dont get raped by a shop who posably employs retards who get paid by the hour. If you know whats wrong before you take it in you could save a ton of time and money. in fact you might be able to fix it yourself. |

I will take it!!! Lets just say that air-cooled Buells are more like working on a lawn-mower then fixing the space-shuttle.If your shop can't fix it in a day or two, they shouldn't be working on bikes. They have the most basic mechanical architecture, with a 1980's tech EFI system.Oh and Froggy,I know the space shuttle flies on 1980's computers,I was just using it as an example... |

sounds to me like some one who is getting screwed by the dealer so he then thinks it is the bikes fault. I have an 03 over 20k and it runs like a champ. I am not going to say it is problem free because I have not put all of those miles on it but I will say my M2 was pretty dang reliable and the friend of mine I sold it too is loving it a lot. |

My XB is at 45k and is a piece of crap, but 95% of the issues I have had with it are my fault. Same story with my Blast, it has about 13k miles on it, the only time that it had an issue that wasn't my fault was when the bearings failed, but I do think my abuse of that bike contributed. Oh, and your refrigerator has more computing power than the Apollo spacecraft. |

I am looking at 28k on my STT here with no problems that wasn't fixed in a day or two by the shop. Parts on back order maybe? Try giving them a call and see what is up. |

When mine got hit last year it took them 5 weeks to fix the damn thing. I blame HD not the bike. |

Brutus if you give us details instead of just ripping on the bikes we all love you would get some very valuable help and advice from these guys. You're right 6 weeks is crazy, but that has nothing to do with the bike. It doesn't take 6 weeks to build it from the ground up, let alone fix it. Some of these guys on here really know their stuff (most of them) and they love to help, if you want help, you're in the right place (just re-phrase the post maybe) If you just want to complain about Buell, wrong place. Just my .02 |

55k trouble free miles on my 05 XB9SX and going strong. The problem seems to be that your bike is 'in the shop.' Mine's never been in any shop. Your bike might spend more time on the road if you worked on it yourself. |

~31K in just over 2 years and the biggest problems I've had has been dealing with the local service departments for warranty work (had a wheel bearing go bad and a slow death on a fan). Things are easier now that it's out of warranty and I will just do my own repairs. |

YUP?......Ill Bite. wifes XB12scg,20K no issues my XB12XT,18K self induced issue,no factory issues. I see more issues (non customer induced)on Hondas than Buells, and those are far and few between |

My bike is in a shop goin on 3 weeks now, and it will be more, ('09 xb12, needs a fuel pump , under warranty) Liberty Buell has gone out of thier way to try to get one for it, and I called and got a guy at Harley cs tryin hard too, I'm really not willing to buy one (over $300),and not available right now anyway...... sometimes you just gotta wait, or get something lesser, like... any other motorcycle. |

My nine has 36,000km with no issues other than a destroyed belt, and I'd be happy to take the blame for that. I'm also lucky to have bought the bike new from the best Buell dealer in Canada. Sorry to hear of your bad experience, but not all dealers give a damn about Buells, or the people who ride them. |
