I was just pulling in to the yamaha shop for grip glue and I dumped my bike over and broke my pegs is there any pegs I could buy here that I could use?

yes knightdesignllc.com and americansportbike.com both sell pegs.Probably others besides them too.
Sorry about the drop.I've done the same thing.Better that way than while you are on the move.

well What I was actually looking for was pegs from another brand of bike I could have bought from the motorcycle shop I was at to get me home. What I ended up doing was taking the passenger peg from the left hand side and putting it on upside down (since both the rider and passenger pegs on the right side broke) and using that to get home. Now I will just order regular factory pegs since I have to order pegs.

oh and does anyone have the part number to a right lightning peg? I have the parts book for a firebolt but my bike has lightning pegs on it so I do not have the part number.

Whoa...way too slow typing on this phone. Now that i think of it, i've totally done that. Weird riding with different height pegs huh? Or did you just switch both? No spring is weird too...

Nevermind the height thing, just saw you got a firebolt

It was a little weird because I have lightning pegs and yes the no spring sucked because i kept knocking it up at lights.

Can you use a rear firebolt peg on the front? I just did the same thing 2 days ago. I pulled up to my garage and thought my stant went all the way down. I just let it spack the ground, BAM!! after I picked it up I was very happy to see that the only thing that touched the ground was the peg and my mirror. i also just put on a left side axil licence plate bracket and it helped protect the bike. i was so happy. But the peg just snaped!! if they made them better they would not snap so easy. I just orgerd my new ones yesterday. I want to ride tomorrow so can I use my rear for a day?

Bright, they are designed to break easily if forced upward like in a tipover. This is to prevent further damage to the bike. The pegs are a fraction of the cost of a peg mount or frame.

Also, you dont *need* pegs to ride, I rode without a shifter and left peg for about a week after I broke them in my garage. : )

yes bright the rear pegs will fit just fine the only problem you will run into though is not having the spring to hold them out but if you rap the hinge with duct tape it will keep them from flipping up so easy.

Cool its only temporary. Ok, it does make sence to break before the peg mount.

Froggy, I understand how you can ride without a peg for a little bit but how do you shift without a shifter?

Well I know that guys that own Hayabusa's buy Buell pegs because they're a little lower and give some extra leg room, so base on that I'm pretty sure you can reverse swap, however your feet probably will be in a different angle. Also you can take the broken to Cycle Gear and see what they have, I saw a Firebolt with blue pegs that look like they belong on jap bike at one of the local bike night.

Ok so I finally went down to Round rock and at least replaced my rider peg but i realized I lost the clip to my left side passenger foot peg that I had up side down on the right side which was ok for now because I just stole the one from the right side since that peg is still broke but when I do go to replace that peg I will need that clip.

So all that being said What is the part number for that clip or is there one?

If there is would there possibly be a harley part number for them so I can get it from a Harley only shop so I do not have to drive all the way to Round Rock Just to buy a little bitty clip?

IIRC they are just little C clips. ANY(from Napa or whatever) that would fit would work I'd think.
LOL way to give Buell riders some positive light pullin into a Yamaha shop n dropping it n all : p

A lot of people buy the Buell drop peg to put on their bikes so it is probably fairly standard sized.

Well Buelltroll to be honest one of the workers there said that entrance to there shop causes a lot of dropped bikes (maybe it is to give the service department more work.) I has a funky bump then dip then goes down to a hill.

Just in case somebody's not aware of this: always park so the bike is pointed uphill if you can. The kickstand angle, weight balance, idle pull, etc., all conspire to roll the bike forward, off the stand and crash.
