Just went to pick up my XB9R from my parents house, it has been sitting there for a week and a half. About 6 miles down the road, the headlights dimmed and brightened back up, and repeated the cycle 4-5 more times every 40 seconds or so. After a couple of miles I stopped and checked my tail light. It was not working. Had to drive 20 miles of highway without a tail light. Where should I start? Could it be just a blown bulb on the tail? No brake lights either.

I kept my blinker on for safety. BTW.

Check your battery terminals and your grounds, including the ones on the steering head.

Mine was doing the same thing except my tail light never went out. I done as Nittanyxt suggested, ended up being loose battery terminals. I also went ahead and put a battery charger on it over night and it cleared right up.
