+1 Hootowl
I had a speed sensor beat me up for a while,it was a no run issue.
It feeds off the same low voltage line from the ecm to many other things.....

So I put everything back together in preparation to trailer her over to the shop. On a whim I fired her up but could not re-create problem... Really makes me uneasy to think I fixed the problem by dis-assmbling and re-assembling things. Anyone think the shop will be able to shed new light on what the problem really is/was?

Not without costing a huge amount of money.

Check and wiggle test your ignition switch plug. Some ign switches have failed causing these kind of problems, beyond that check the kill switch and start switch, pop the cover look for worn wires or rubbing.

Next up could be your fuel pump wiring and filters.

Ok, I've queryed the ECM multiple times and haven't ever gotten codes. Today, it decided to give me some... tons actually...

Byte 2:94
23 - front injector short to ground or open
23 - battery voltage too low
15 - intake air sensor shorted to supply voltage or open

Byte 3:14
33 - fuel pump short to grond or open
33 - rear injector short to ground or open

Byte 4:80
44 - BAS short to ground or open

Byte 5:05
21 - active muffler control

So two things:
(1) I know it can't be all these at once so what do they all share
(2) I have no check engine light

There are two large plugs that connect to the ECM. But there's a smaller gauge wire that goes between them. What does that do?

Whenever I have "fixed" an electrical problem by taking it apart and putting it back together, I have attributed it to a bad ground. It happens to me. But I am FAR from any kind of trained mechanic. Or even a good maintainer...
