If you do, I can really use a picture of where they are intalled. I need to weld bungs on before the ceramic coat and installation on the bike. Want to make sure the sensors don't interfere with anything...

Anyone?

No pics but we keep a set of mid pipes with bungs for tuning. Just try and have them equal distance from ports so they read the same.Front header is about 12" around bend and faces toward the clutch lever side of bike, rear pipe is about 4 1/2" from slip joint and faces out to right side.

Jim,

Thanks. I used the string method to find equal lenghts and marked appropriately. I don't recall the exact measurement, but I'd say it was a bit over 12". The front cyl's sensor is the same distance and sits in the leg just below the two crazy top bends.

On a side note, have you had any durability issues with their can? I bought a used one that has several fatigue cracks. I'm in the process of having it fixed, but the failures are interesting. I believe the 1203 engine just bashed this thing to pieces...

Balanced & stress-free assembly is important with any exhaust system.
6k miles under me (10k on bike). Removed & replaced once by me: no cracks (Micron system, XB12).

Aptbldr, I'll post pictures when I get home later tonight. I have two cracks that could not have been caused by installation. They are on the underside of the outlets in the rear (in case wall, not weld). No damage noted that would indicate impact, denting, etc. My preliminary opinion is that these cracks originated due to resonance of the long tips. I've since cut these tips shorter to remediate (plus it looks better to me).

Also, both internal perforated cores were loose and are free to slide back and forth. I'm not sure that this would be noticeable when installed, except that their movement helped blow out the packing in one of the chambers.

Not surprisingly, I had the same thing happen to the core of my Drummer. I also bought that exhaust used and the same internal failure occurred. No dents, no impact. I know Kevin makes good quality products, so after seeing two pipes in the same condition, I'm left thinking it was the engine that caused the damage...
