I'm looking at a leftover 07 XB12STT, however the dealer removed all of the XB12STT suspension and bodywork/plastics.

Right now it has the low(or standard, I'm not sure but the spring on the rear shock is white) suspension, and cherry bomb bodywork.

The bike is priced well, and I may get a good deal on my trade on, so I'm wondering, how hard/expensive is it to reacquire the original STT parts?

If you want that suspension find the bike with it. Forks I'd seen go for 300 each dunno bout.the shock. It's the best. Stock buell street suspension in my book.

White spring is stock STT.

The STT bodywork should be easy to get, I got a kit of takeoff bodywork from my dealer after they did the same to one of their bikes. $200 including seat, number plates, duck bill, fork guards, airbox, flyscreen and who knows what else.

So how can I tell if the suspension was actually swapped out or if the guys at the dealer are just confused?(there really only seemed to be one guy that knew anything about the bike but even he wasn't sure about all of the mods.)

sounds like it still has the stt suspension if it has the white shock on it. I think (I could be wrong though) the only other shock they could have put on it would have been the older ss or xt shock which was black. I believe if I am not mistaken that there only 2 shocks that came on the long frames and that is the white ones and the black ones.

White spring means they didn't touch the rear at least. Check the bottom of the fork tubes, you will see a part number. If it says .1AS then it still has the STT front suspension too.

Firebolt, the Uly XB12X shock would fit too, but it would be obviously taller. There are 4 shocks, the SS, STT (09+ SS), X, and XT.

I bought a similar stt to what your looking at. Shock is white as was already stated. I would look to see if the forks have the newer style adjustment setup. From what I understand the 07 stt all came with 08 forks. My guess is they just did the plastics swap and maybe the seat and possibly the rider pegs. Maybe the pics of mine will help you figure what all was done to the one your looking at.

I love my bike, you'll be very happy with your purchase. Good luck!

Here's what it looks like. It's also missing the duckbill(that is an old photo).

What it looks like to me(and please help me if I'm wrong).
Still has STT seat and suspension

MISSING: STT fork guards, duckbill, headlight grill, handguards, number plates, license plate side reflectors.

Does that look about right?

I think it looks cool like that All I would do is add the fork guards and get some number plates and paint them black.

If I pick the bike up, I'll probably leave it as is, but it'd be nice to have all the STT parts should I ever wish to "restore" it.

Is that the left over from Bartels'?

It's a nice bike, looks much better than a stock STT.

Some one had some black fork guards for sale within the last month or less. Looks sweet right now, but guards would help preserve your fork seals and keep the lowers from getting pocked up by random road debris.

I thought that front fender was the 'duckbill'?

Nice looking bike tho. Put the regular lightning front fender on there and its a real looker but that's just my preference.

Whats that big canister thing on top of the primary? A charcoal canister?

that can is your charcoal scrubber for a california compliant emissions vehichle

Nice red wheels on there. A good looking stand out. Somebody juggled some parts to make that happen. To recreate it, you are looking at dime heavy cosmetics (those wheels being the big expense)
