Check this out. My Neighbor I talking about a rally at the state capital on the 28th of June. I just thought we should get this on the radar.

only one more reason riding a bike becomes less attractive every day. i love being on two wheels, but hell, when will this madness end? totally unfair to those of us that ride for the fun. what's next, make us add two more wheels and a big metal box? hmmmm...

Despite the dates...old news.

But as noted...gotta keep "our" guards up.
Normally...what happens here (CA) eventually (usually) ends up everywhere..!

Yes, very old news. This has been bouncing around for years. As a matter of fact, if I recall correctly, bill #435 was primarily designed to eliminate the endless delays in implementation. The original implementation date was supposed to be 2008, but keeps getting bumped; the new bill's implementation date was gonna be fixed at 2012. But the writing is obviously on the wall; its coming. And indeed, where CA goes, other states follow. Enjoy it while you can.
I took a Triumph 675 to the local dealer last month, to have the ECM flashed for an aftermarket muffler. For the first time ever, I was refused. The noose is already tightening, and there's apparent nervousness on the dealer end.
Incidentally, decibel testing is part of the proposed legislation. We've got our straight-pipe brethren to thank for that. Please, modify/ride responsibly. Obnoxiousness on the street ain't gonna help any of us.
