Anybody have one lying around, I really don't want to buy a complete cable to get one? I burnt my second one to date. First was due to the faulty clutch cable retainer, this time I have no clue, it just worked its way up near the header. Electrical tape will do for now.

Mine burnt after cable recall done also.Seems like a waste of a cable for just the boot. Its only a a burnt area of 1/4 inch and the hole is actually only 1/8 so I just used a "blob" of black RTV filled in the rubber, good as new has held for over a year.

Yes, it's a little ratty but I don't think there are any holes in it. I'll try to remember to pull it off tonight when I get home. Need any parts off the cable? It kept stretching so I replaced it before it went "pop".

PM your address and I'll try to get it in the mail on Friday.

Might I suggest some header wrap?
