...pulling pin...tossing joke...

Maybe he is implying that we are becoming distracted, and at the last moment, missed the ground?

Or maybe he is saying that anyone can make outlandish claims, yet offer no proof.

Court,

Please post a picture of yourself flying, or suffer reduced credibility on this forum.

John I know you have a bug up your rear about me and thats fine and jim dandy. But you should read the whole post and then comment.

Here`s an idea:

Maybe this site should use some of the proceedes from the sponsors and conduct an exhaust sysyem dyno testing session.

Pick an independant tester, not affiliated with any exhaust system to perform the test with PCIII or TFI box. And let the best system win.

Until that happens, if you like the Tiforce, D&D, Jardine, Drummer, Becin, or whatever and you can afford it, BUY IT! And have fun!

But don`t listen to people who make MONEY selling one brand of pipe, (bubba) constantly bash every new pipe that is produced.

You never hear any of the other manufactures who makes other pipes, critize other pipes on this site do you?

But you hear Bubba on every other post saying his is the best and attacking others. Why? Because he is making money off it and wants to everyone buy his pipe.

john
read between these lines please:

"It's funny how "buellers" consider properly tuning a bike "too much effort"

"How many "other" sportbikes can install a properly designed, power producing pipe and not add a Powercommander or a Techlusion or a modified ECU? If the pipe is flowing that much better than stock it NEEDS the ability to tune/adjust the fuel curve."

We have more than one pipe out there to prove this can be done, maybe not perfect but done well.
The buell FI system is an open loop, closed loop system. It will adjust to changes such as pipes and filters. Again not perfect but, yes well.Thats why a simple Race ecm can be bought and is suggested heavely

"So is the resistance to properly tuning; a money thing, an effort thing or have you just been misinformed for so long that you think it's not required because most "systems" up to this point have not needed it. "

Whether he wants to believe it or not. Buellers and the folks that create these bikes are generaaly very well informed on how things work.
We have not been misinformed at all.
we know that to get optium power that yes we need to tune the bike. But no we are not misinformed.

Maybe thats why all us misinformed folks keep asking for dyno's.

and if its so easy to tune these bikes properly to the buell's than again I ask....

Where are the dyno's

sorry to be such a pain in the rumperdoo.

I like the CS Lewis conversation better.

No. You can't have too much CS Lewis. Nor G.K. Chesterton for that matter, who was every bit as good.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe series as being one of the most intellectually insightful works of fiction ever written. Writing something complicated that says a lot is hard. Writing something simple that say a lot is a work of a true genius.

I wanna be like Reepicheep when I grow up. : )

I've been paying attention to these exhaust threads because they (unlike oil and tires) I can read a dyno graph. I've seen the dynos for the D&D, the Jardine, the Drummer, the Latus, the Force, a straight pipe with a "Y" at the end and one without, I've even seen one with a car muffler.
The one's I've not seen are the TiFource, and the Becin. I thought the TiForce would be a lot like the Becin, and the Force, where the low is gone to make the upper high (again I've not seen the Becin graph, just going by what I've heard) but it sounds like a lot of pipe with slip on performance, I will stand corrected if need be.
As for John wanting to take up a collection for an independent test, I know of two on this board that have offered up their bikes for a test, but (I think) Rob doesn't want to do it without them paying for the pipe up front only to get their money back if they don't like the results.
I really thought Rob was getting somewhere at first, but that looks as though it's stalled.
Too bad too, I really wanted to see what the two BadWeBber's bikes were going to pull.
As for me, (as if ya'll really cared) I was torn between the D&D and the Drummer, I've got the Buell race can, but being a cheap mountain william, I'll stay put til I can buy a Drummer.

One pipe-offering set-up dyno'd their pipe and others as well to give potential buyers an idea of what they would get, seen anyone else do that?

Nooooo...

This same outfit dyno'd their same pipe on a 1350cc Buell race bike without tuning it, did it perform?

Yeeesss...

Did they suggest running aftermarket electronics boxes to get the best performance, did they lose jacking points, chin fairing, or need extra mounts? Do they break? Did they lose bottom end power?

Come on, give a guy a break.

Well said Opto...

John, while I wouldn't pretend like Bubba didn't get a bit "ungentlemanly" on the last thread for this pipe, he has a very valid point. If you caught what he was actually saying instead of assuming he's just bashing them to boost his sales, you'd notice that his whole point is that he's standing up for the Buell community as a whole and saying we're not a bunch of idiots, so stop treating us as such by assuming we're a bunch of dumb sheep with no ability to think for ourselves.

BTW, Reepi, just re-read "Prince Caspian" last week, didn't appreciate that specific book enough in previous readings.

Well... Most companies don't like people who STAND outside the box. Let alone think outside the box. I doubt that Bubba was let go because of the Drummer. I of course do NOT have the full story, but I would guess that it may have had something to do with him calling spades as they are and not being politically correct about it.

Technically, I believe he left as opposed to his being let go. One is a choice, the other is often not, I've been through both several times. But I will agree that many companies don't hold well with folks who don't toe the company mindset or don't drink from the company urinal.

A post containing nothing but a personal attack was removed from the above thread. Everybody please let it go, it's just noise at this point.

If you have something factual to add, by all means add it, but this is not the place for personal attacks.

Please, all future contributors to this thread, please limit yourselves to factual discussions, the whole thread is way out of hand.

I did read too much of Lewis and his good friend Tolkien (whom I preferred while my brother preferred Narnia). I'm planing on moving my "SHDOFX" plate to my FJR when it comes in. Other plates hanging on the wall:
"DR WHO" (92 Hugger)
"PK FLD" (96 Hugger and 98 S1WL)
"ASIMOV" (77 Delta 88)
"ANSWR 42" (80 Cutlass and 74 Olds Omega w/ 455)
"WESTWND" (on the 91 RS1200 - WestWind)

did we drown out the muffler conversation yet?
I owned 3 Oldsmobiles?

I left on my own accord. just so you know. nothing to do with the drummer. infact a certain main guy that knows a thing or two about engines and exhaust, was pretty dang proud of the drummer.

Kind of sad, really, since stock XB12s are seeing high 80s and even low 90s for some.

If that was a XB9 I'd be impressed.
