Does anybody know if the chin spoiler does much toward downforce, stability, or drag coefficient at high (for Buell) speeds? Or is it mainly for looks?

Well, it certainly does something...

I think it's mail goal is to deflect grit and rocks from the exhaust system. I am curios about the hole at the left side though. What's the designed functionality in that?
