While finishing up my (1125)CR bar adaption to my 05 Lightning, I noticed that the main elect. harness...where it is covered/protected by a plastic cover around the steering head, is being severely bent back and forth as you turn the bars.
So much so that the protective "tape" that covers the wires has chaffed to the point that the harness is showing the separate wires.

How long will it take to break the wires themselves...?

So now I guess I gotta go back in there and rework the way the harness runs past the steering head.

Just thought I'd pass on what I saw on mine.

I figured so...just being a smart ass...

I took some rubber hose like material, wrapped my exposed wires and then taped the hell out it. It held up fine.
