Buellgator is right. But there is also small claims court. Wife and I sued somebody and won cause he did not even show up for the court date. But after more than a couple of months, a bunch of phone calls and a lot of my personal effort, we got the money. It was the principal.

That is what it sounds like in this case

yeah, i dont feel like wasting anymore time/money on it. I'll just keep spreading the word and let people decide for themselves. the new pipes dont break? great, just hope it never does and pray that you dont have to deal with them other than a purchase.

its sunny today and not a cloud in the sky, brought my gear to work and just need to find a ride to the dealer.. can't wait to RIDE

Misato, DHD closes at 7 PM these days. If so, I'll be glad to pick you up around 6:00 and drop you off there. Respond here and not via e-mail so I can get your reply.

GOT IT!!! thanks for the offer tho.

so, its a different pipe, not the one I sent in. There are some gouges -like from plyers or something- not as bad as I has pictured. The sales guy brings it around, and I say holy crap thats loud. As I'm leaving another guy comes out and hands me a box -its the baffle. crap. I had a baffle in mine, I look down and this pipe didn't have one. so tonite when I get home I'll have to put that on and take pics....

oh, the 'fix' -everything is the same as before except there is a strip of rubber between pipe and the mounts underneath. hmm, that would take about, uuuhh 15 MINUTES TO DO. I'll have to look closer but at a glance thats what it looked like.

I left at 11:00 and didn't get back to work until 3:15--opps. boss is on vaca this week anyway. rode about 100 miles.
luv'd it.
now I remember why I bought a buell...

Misato, I wish you luck brother. You are an infinitely more patient guy than me. If they were here in Jersey uncle Tony would have paid them a visit long ago...lol.
I do know something about vibration isolation though. If its a strip of rubber with bolts through it, like a sandwich, it won't work. You can't have the bolts being through metal.

What did they have to do to make that little strip of rubber, "Grow The Tree" and wait for rubber to start seeping from the tree.

Fuck it, I'm not sending mine back. I'll just chock it up to a learning experience. I may have a person who can fix it for me, I would rather try that method than send it to the Crooks in AZ.

polishing is a pain in the @$$
lots of sand paper, aircraft stripper, alum polishing, buffing wheel
there are other threads with more details about polishing if you do a search

Congrats Misato. Good to see you up and running again. The polished cases look awesome. Hopefully the permanent fix won't be to far off. Usapitbullz if they are willing to give you a whole new exhaust why not send it in?

alright.. WTF with the feracci map I lost top end. well, they didn't have the damn baffle in on that run. it is a better power curve than that first one tho (see bottom pic RUN002). still nowhere near the claimed 89hp. Ignore the BLUE RUN001 (that was the one they ruined my tire on)

the first run with the nallin map 9/03

Misato your first dyno run doesn't look near as bad as mine. Mine comes up strong and then dips off at 4500 and levels out there. Man I cannot wait to get this bike set-up with all the new stuff.

thats what I thought. you gonna be in seattle any time soon? with a portable dyno?

Last time I tried HD type shops to dyno tune it. they all said something like 'sure bring it in, we can download a map from PC's web site' now we all know that they dont make a PCIII for the xb (it uses the X1) so how the hell are they going to get a map(I could download and put one in myself). Talking to them, I just didn't feel like they could do it right.

anyway, I'm thinking I need to try sportbike places to get a good map done.

Also, if the feracci map was made at around the same altitude, shouldn't it be close to what that bike was dyno'ing at (I think his was around 90)? I can see a few +HP difference by making the map for that exact bike but 10? could I have put the O2 in upsidedown or something? or at least x'ed the wires up?

Misato,
Glad you're up and running, but I have to say that I'm very disapointed in those dyno runs!!! I thought that a full system with a PCIII would kick ass...Man that system looses a lot of useable power when I compare runs...I'm not bashing, just understand that I'm very disappointed in those figures.... I'm sure the bike runs very well...Glad to see your enjoying your BUELL....KEVIN

Misato,
Can you adjust the pots on the PCIII manually to give you some more fuel? You look very lean.

I need to know what the numbers in the map mean

When you loaded the map from Ferraci, did you take the bike for a ride and let the ECM reset? Or did you load the map, then run it on the dyno?

Misato,

Checked out your dyno run...you're obviously about 10 ponies down according to the graph. I looked at my graph and the curve does resemble yours, although mine is smoother. First of all, is your airbox modified? If it is, as I recall, that would cause a lean condition...go back to stock and run it. Secondly, no baffle...mine was run with the baffle...no baffle would also create a lean condition. I don't think you're far off. I noticed their scale looked different than mine from Ferracci...don't know if there are differences in software/machinery. I've never programmed a dyno but are they entering the data correctly for your scoot? How does the bike feel? My bike was noticeably night and day difference when I pulled away from Ferracci's shop after the tuning...and this wasn't the first motorcycle I've ridden. Keep at it...you've come this far..but if you do have a lean condition, check those two items. When Ferracci makes a custom map, they do it by measuring air fuel mixture at the tail pipe at each RPM point and make adjustments...so the modified airbox and no baffle would move things to the lean side. Anyhow, I got my Force pipe back last week and put it on this past weekend...the bike runs like a top. I believe they did change the weld slightly to allow for more flex on one side and added the rubber on the mounts...we'll see. I have a carbon fiber lower cowling so the weight is minimal on the bracket.

I`m sure you`ll get another 5-8hp (if not more) out that combo with a remapp or by adding fuel! Guaranteed!
