All,

I've been looking at some aftermarket levers and found some CRGs at a somewhat reasonable price. However, I noted that the marketing information by the vendor listed the fitment up to 2008 in one spot, and 2009 in another. I emailed them (I have an 09 Ss) to confirm. They emailed back saying the clutch lever was the same, but the master cylinder on the 09 Ss is the same as on the 1125R, so they would use that for the brake lever. Can anyone confirm that? I don't have an 1125 parts book handy. (Froggy to a white paging telephone...)

Yes the 09+ XB12 (no Ulys) have the ZTL2 master cylinder and a different lever. You would need an XB clutch (not 1125R, different), and a 1125R brake lever.

Froggy, thanks as always. I'm going to be lost if you start riding Kawasakis...

This makes me curious. I bought a set of Pazzo's last year for my 09Ss. There was no mention of the different levers but it did fit the bike. Would the other lever fit my 09 and cause some trouble or can I assume I have the proper lever. It went on with no issues.

The two different stock levers are very similar, I honestly can't eyeball the difference with the two sitting side by side, but Buell wouldn't give it a new part number for nothing.

Phazernut - if you bought your Pazzo's specifically for your 09, you have the correct parts for your 09. Look at their fitment guide and you can see that the 09 brake lever is a different part number than the 08 brake lever. Their part numbers agree with Froggy's post. That's one reason I asked the CRG vendor - I remembered seeing that Pazzo had a set specifically for 09's. http://www.pazzoracing.com/guide.html

I bought them from a dealer on ebay last summer. Pretty sure I asked for ones for an 09. They work so I assume I'm good. Maybe it is just the color on the Buell Side.

Its not the color, the black ZTL2 lever costs almost twice as much as the black ZTL1.
