I'm interested in knowing just how much the ECM can adjust the fuel delivery in the case of a modified engine.

What percentage can the ECM add to the fuel delivery rate before it's "pegged" at the upper end of the AFV range?

My assumption is that the race ECM is the same as the stock ECM with the exceptions that it doesn't control the exhaust valve and that it attempts to run less lean. Maybe it also has a larger range of available adjustment of the AFV?

My race ecm came out off the box with a afr off 138 %
After resetting it , it was running around 115-117 % ( complete race kit )
Some airbox mod’s didn’t really changed that
With a leaky rear header gasket it was around 125%; )

turn signals are normal lamps,
they came orange bulbs,
but very easy to change to white bulbs
the rear lights are leds (with a lamp socket)

My race ecm was running exactly 100% when the bike was fully race kitted.

Stock ECM runs 99% when the bike has stock filter, snorkel removed and race muffler.

Believe it or not.

they have different fuel/ignition maps
running lean mid range (normal cruzin) on a carb buell w/pipe and no race module, just the same as the fuel inj.
and it will be reading the maps when you are getting on the power any way.
the only difference of the learnability is the afv.

you may try to loosen the screws on the throttle body and let the plate self-center?
seen improper gap in between body's and cyl's. s&s has spacers to fill gap, if too much.

i usually see afv #s w/ 2-4 of each other no matter which buell or mods. pretty sure it has to do with air density. which will change with altitude, and winter. of course it's been so long since i've seen seasons living in texas. but see them change about 6deg's in the cold weather.
