Author Message   Swamp2 Posted on Sunday, May 02, 2010 - 09:54 pm:        Ok, so I have a 2009 XB12Ss, and a 1999 S3. The factory HP rating on them both is about the same. I know the '08+ had some upgrades - crank pin, DDFI3, oil pump... But, from the HP/torque perspective, are they pretty much the same motor (e.g. same heads, cams, compression...)?   Froggy Posted on Sunday, May 02, 2010 - 11:14 pm:        The two motors mentioned share nothing as far as I know. Possibly some gaskets and fasteners, but that would be it.
