Impulse, Bads is right. The new file as a wav is 9 megs. The old one is .38 meg. It will load way slow. | ||

Its there, but it loads too slow. I have a smokin' cable modem & its like 5 to 10 seconds. Forget a dial up with a 9 meg file. I can loop it if its shorter. Plus I think the volume should rock the house & its kind of subdued. I warned you guys that I was a fussy Northeastern pr!^k! I gotta have it perfect for my boy Kevin! | ||

I sent the file as an 96Khz .MP3 didn't I? If you want a .wav it's WAY bigger. I'm editing it again now, but I'm going a lot further with the editing. I'll get ride of the jump between the idle and the reving parts of the clip as well as squashing the sound down even more. JT | ||

Well, Ver. 3.0 is out for your listening pleasure. I chopped a few seconds off the end but the good stuff is still there. I also made it a 64Khz .mp3 so the file size is smaller. I used three different compressor/limiters placed at different places in the signal chain and I think that this is about as loud as this program (SONAR 2.2) is going to let me get it. JT | ||

Jersey, Bads told me how you're using the sound as a background on the site. (I should have looked, but I didn't.) So I'll make a shorter .wav for you today and see if I can loop it so that it will sound natural. When you post version 3 why don't you just make a link to it as an mp3 and then you can use the specialized loop that I'll make tonight as a .wav for the background on the website. OK, I finished up a loop and converted it to a mono .wav . It's 12 seconds long and should loop cleanly if there is no pop when the file is loaded. It was a very clean loop on my machine. If anyone else wants it and doesn't want to use the site just E-mail me. Jersey... You have mail. JT | ||

Come on guys, when and where can us poor other souls get our hands on this soundfile? I rebuilt the batt pack yesterday on my recently acquired 2nd-hand 8 year old 120Mhz AUD$120 laptop and am ready to go full out to get a Drummer soundclip with this outstanding piece of recording apparatus!  If you people have done a good job then I don't want to waste my time! |
