Is there any key things I should be doing when putting the heads back together. I cleaned the surfaces and gasket install is next. I read something about spaying coper on the gasket. What are some thoughts from the pros.

Cometic head gaskets - all the rocker box gaskets can be Hardley.

Use a few light dabs of silicone to stick the molded upper rocker gasket in place. Trust me, 90% of the time, it'll be just a little warped and won't line up in the groove for it... so then you end up with a leaker.

Trust me on that - I just installed my rocker gaskets in a hurry on Friday and on Sunday they were leaking so this week the process starts over again. That's what I get for hurrying.

Thats what I dont want to do is finally get this thing back together and then have to take it right back out again.

I did order the Cometic kit from American Sport bike. Great customer service by the way.

They are not included in the kit. If I can give any one any advice, Make sure to get all push rod cover gaskets and Valve cover screws use a gasket that isnt included. Good news is American Sport bike is great and a pleasure to do business with.

The O-rings are included in the kit. I just did mine with the top end kit from American Sport Bike and it came with the o-rings. Contact Al. Course, they are just plain o-rings, you could just pull one out of the head and run down to get store to get 4 matching ones if you don't feel like waiting.
