Thought I'd read of others trying this with no problems. Just to be sure. Anybody heard of any? My XB12R improved more than I thought it would with such a little change & for now I want to keep the stock exhaust. Thanks

I call Buell tech services because I have a customer that wanted to do just that and i was told the race ecm does not open or close the exhaust valve. It was designed to be ran with the race muffler that does not have the valve. Swaco how does it run, my guess is that it has a ton of torque but less than stock HP. But maybe that is what you are looking for. |

Sorry, I should have been more clear about still having the stock ecm. I'm fairly sure the stock ecm/o2 set up has the ability to compensate for using the race filter & removing the snorkel but I'd just like to hear if anybody knew different. |

Thanks Swaco & Johny. In a different thread someone was running the race filter & a aftermarket pipe with stock ecm. A few stated that they had done that for some time safely. Just pulling the snorkel & changing the filter should not cause any problems at all then |
