Thanks Dave. Although I may not need it. Is the only way to check the timing is with the Digital Technician? Man this will really suck out loud if I have to take my bike in just to check the timing. Does any one know if I can check the timing with a timing light? Man, I wish I could get my hands on a Digital Technician. There ought to be a law against selling a vehicle and hold out on the tools to work on it with. I'd be willing to bet that if I could get one it'd cost me big time! Thanks in advance for any help. |

Thanks Fullpower, for the insight. ...178,000 repair shops lose more than $18.2 billion a year because shops have to turn away 15 percent of all the business they are offered. Why? Simply because they don't have the information they need to make the repairs...“Our information dilemma is twofold,” said Haas. “A lot of information is not being provided by the vehicle manufacturers and the information that is provided is priced to place the aftermarket at a significant competitive disadvantage.”... http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/oct2002/mech.cfm Harley Davidson Buell have lost more of my respect. I was just kind of let down by their dealership "support", acting like they don't want Buellers around on one hand, and then on the other hand, making it impossible to not to go to them. I'm becoming Bubbatized... |

Could some one of the part guru’s help me out and explain the part no. for the orange buell letters on the intake cover, I thought I was helping the shop out and provided the guy with the part number # M0750.A208 decal , intake cover blue/orange being a parts guy my self I thought it was the least I can do. As I received the decals they were the wrong ones, I wanted the buell letters to be orange ?? i got the blue ones Were did I go wrong ?? There are 2 type’s available, the other one has the description orange/white ? my bike is a blue one, so I was thinking the blue/orange where the right ones thanx gr,b edited by bud on April 24, 2004 |

I thought all vehicles manufactured after 96 were OBDII compliant. Our 97 Escort and 01 Cherokee both have an OBDII port and I can plug my Actron SuperScanner into them and get real time data plus any faults and reset the faults. I guess bikes don't have to comply, is that what this law would address ? |

Bud check the invoice and make sure the dealer ordered the correct ones. If the number on the invoice is correct check the number on the parts package. Make sure they match. |
