And I like the wifes Blast, I really do, I just can't ride it with the low seat on it. Hurts my azz to much.

Find out if the Tech @ Chosa's is named Dan Klann, also known as Butthead. If he is doing your work you are in great hands and should have a friend for life!! He drag races an XB9 and it runs great...

Ski,

Is the engine seizure covered under warranty? Did you have an extended warranty? Had you owned it for a year yet? Just curious. I'm coming up on 20k, and I have the extended warranty. Wondering what would happen if I ran into similar trouble.

1320, Are you in AZ? Sweet Bike on your Profile.

KC, Yes, Yes and Yes. It was covered under my first warranty though due to the fact I had it in the shop one day prior to it expiring

Bubba,

Should I wait until the new engine is broke in before installing the Drummer? Or just put it on and ride the hell out of her.

Is a TPS adjustment necessary even without the installing the race ECM?

Hey Ski, No , I live in Northeast Tennessee. I've known Dan for years due to drag racing and he is a great guy. I have been in Phoenix for the last 5 years to drag race at the AHDRA bike week nationals in March. I try to keep up on what is going on with the current motor changes...Another racer just had a rod failure on a 2004 sportster (only 2 races) that has the same rods as the XB. I'm thinking that might be a weak spot. I will probably change the rods at the very least if doing a hop up with this type of motor.

Ski you don't have to wait to put the pipe on if you don't want to. and no tps readjust if you you don't change the ecm. I would think when they put the new engine in they would reset it just to be safe and start it out right anyways.

go ahead and play the drums!!!!

XB9 I am interested but my plate is full at the moment and the wallet is unexpectedly empty. I was curious for Ski's sake so he could have a spare more then anything else.

Wycked,
No such luck, they didn't give it to me.

Thank you all for your support, Got her back to day at around 1:30pm had a few minor complaints that I made them correct before I drove her off the lot. SHe ran awesome all the way to Riverside where I had a planned stop, Went over a couple of speed bumps before I got to my stop and on the last on the belt let loose(Broke). Guess I can't complain to much I got about 31k out of it. Trucked her once again, this time to Irvine where my belt was. Just got done putting on the new belt, so I'll be racking up the miles once again. Today I only got to put about 345 on her.

P.S. the wife doesn't want me to buy another Buell....Whats wrong with that women....LOL
