Ok so I am trying to figure out when did the DDFI 2 come about. I was always under the the impression it came out in 03 with the introduction of the xb series. How ever if you read anything about 03 bikes it simply says DDFI. In 05 everything says DDFI 2 so you would think it came out in 05 however the EBR ECM for the 12 is 04 to 07. I realize the 03 to 04 for the 9 is different than the 05 to 07 but I thought that was because they changed the throttle body in 05 so it needed a different fuel map. Also the EBR site list all of the race ecms 03-07 as DDFI 2. So who knows when it went from DDFI to DDFI 2 and were can I get a reference showing when the change was made?
