Performance HD/Buell in Syracuse is IMHO a 'typical' Buell dealer (as in only having Buell's on hand to get more Harleys.)

Southern Tier HD/Buell in Binghamton I have had good experiences with. They sponsor a BRAG chapter.

Utica HD/Buell, in...Utica, I have also had good Buell related experiences with.

Brunswick HD near Troy, NY.....Spitzie's HD in Albany and Saratoga Springs, NY.....and I second Woodstock HD, they also have a BRAG chapter and that says a lot (there's only 2 BRAG chapters in NY that I know of)

There are none in the NYC area that I would even go near.

Closest are in Edison, NJ and PA.

I've been up near Woodstock a couple times, never seen the dealer, but that does sound like an interesting place to visit.

Have a safe trip,

FYI,

Woodstock HD isn't really in Woodstock. Their address is Kingston, NY off from RT 28 going west.

Has anyone ever dealt with American HD just north of Buffalo, NY? In a year I'll probably be living over there. How do they treat Buells?

Hey...who's riding the cool black XB12R in Westchester County?

I drove alongside them for 6 miles headed up the Sprain to work yesterday.

You get off NYST at exit 19 and take route 28 west. Woodstock Harley is down a few miles on the left. If you go there make sure you do the speed limit on route 28. There is always a speed trap setup. I rode up there last weekend and had a chance to meet Johnnyxb9 who works there. Hey Johnnyxb9 nice to meet you.

Yup, RKC00 is right there, the NYS troopers are always hanging around Rte 28, that reminds me perhaps I shouldn't do 100 + as I go past their HQ on the way to Woodstock.

anyway ,John ,the ride on Sunday was good fun , BuellNY turned up as well ,his D&D does sound good.

speak later.

Don't bother coming up to Westchester. Not only does Reggie Pink have nothing, but Stamford bagged out and now Danbury told me it is looking dismal.

Does not make me feel too good but on a happy note, I start my new job with the Westchester Dept of Corrections next week and I own an XB9R.

Life ain't too bad...

Lee,

You should come up to Woodstock and join our BRAG group.

I bought my XB9S from Stamford , but they were upfront about dumping the Buell franchise and I got a good price because of that, never been to Bridgeport yet.

Buelluk,

I got my M2 in 99 from Stamford. I have been counting on Danbury and they still have bikes but nothing for display. Did get a nice shirt for 1/2 off though. Part of the reason I got a Buell over a Ducati was the dealer network, which seems to be ailing now.

I will have to get up there some time. Some friends own a cabin up there.

Man I wish I could have went with you guys. Glad you liked it. When I saw the route I was jealous. Oh well next time. Rkc00 it was nice to meet you. Its cool to put a face with a name when you can. P.S. your not kidding about rt28 45MPH even if you have to touch the brakes going down hill. Oh yeah use turn signals I was stopped once for "aggressive driving" one morning on my way to work. Apparently changing lanes twice in 4.5 miles with very light traffic and no turn signals is AGGRESSIVE.. Just watch you speed but stop in Im there if we are open. Closed sunday+monday.

Lee:

Any idea who is riding the gorgeous red 1995 S-2 in the White Plains area?

I saw it over at Beemer Cycles the other day and then passed it on the Sprain yesterday.

Court, not sure about that one as I live in Bedford Hills at the top of the Saw Mill, but only see Buell's from time to time.

If you ever get stuck in my area and need a lift, look me up!

You should have seen the doubletake I got from a guy riding a 9R while I was riding mine up in New Haven.

I guess they are as popular as my old Lancia was.

BJ,

I'm not sure about Jersey, but ride 50 miles up I-87 into the Hudson Valley or across the river into CT and you will find plenty of great roads to rip up.

You are just going to have to get used to an 8 month riding season though if you take the job..btw you could always live in the Hudson Valley area and also commute to NYC

Welcome to the Tristate area

There are some very nice rides with great views along the Delaware River North of Philly all the way up to Port Jervis. On a nice weekend there are open air cafes full of bikers along this whole historical route on both the Jersey and Pennsy sides. Many nice little towns and shops as well. The towns can get a bit congested, but its a parade of hot bikes and cars.

Jersey we should hook up and ride Eagle Nest this season. I hear it is an awesome ride. I can do Port Jervis in a like an hour and a half. I want to do a ride with my BRAG chapter down there.

Port Jervis is always neat and that road, I don't recall the name, where BMW filmed all the car commercials is totally awesome.

Yesterday, I had to go to The Mall @ Short Hills, I left Elmsford, cruised across the Tapanzee, over to 287 and meandered South to 124. I was in a car, but looking out the window, to my right, most the way, at that area that showed no roads on the mapping software. It's packed full of great little play roads going up into those hills.

Also, a simple wander down the NJ/PA border always stirs the soul...there are GREAT roads just outside NYC.

I still do not know if I got the job. They made an offer. I turned it down. Then the VP of production wrote me back and asked me what it would take. I am waiting to hear back. IF I GO, I would love to ride with you guys! I did go visit. NY was cool, I donno about bringing my bike into the city though :S NJ was really nice too. Went to Denville I think, went to visit my fiance's friend there. Looked like some nice riding to be had there, during the right time of year of course. }
