I read the procedure for swapping the running light wire with the low beam wire on XBS models. Does this work with the r models?

Thanks,
LJM

Stock configuration:
With the bright lights on, the R has both lights on.
With the bright lights on, the S swaps headlamps.

Glitch, is the passing button still operational on the R's? Mine doesn't do squat and the FSM wiring diagram shows the handlebar controls as a black box. Or just a bad switch?

I asked the same question a year ago. I even posted how cool it was that someone had already done it to my R.

"Passing button flashes the high beam bulb."

But not when the high beam is on, at least not on my '07 9R. Wish that it did...

This mod will have one light on for LOW, and BOTH lights on when running HI-BEAM.
This is how R series come from the factory! It is also why I sounded like a geenius for a second a year ago. If you have an R, BOTH of your headlights are on when you turn on your brights.

un-do it and see if the fuse still blows, if yes you have some other issue
if no you crossed a wire somewhere the first time
try again you are already back at the beginning anyway
