I'm moving from Houston to Atlanta, so I'll be shipping/storing my bike. All together it will be "out of service" for about 3 months.

What do I need to do... drain oil/fuel, disconnect battery?

Do I really need to drain the oil? Just had $32 worth of synthetic put in about 200 miles ago.

I wouldn't for three months. Is there anyone who could go start it, let it run for twenty minutes?

Where in Atlanta?
Once yer hear and see just how close you are to some prime ridin' roads, yer gonna hate havin' that bike put away.
Is there no way you can bring it with you?

I'll be on the north side of town. Just took a job w/ ISS, so I'll be working at exit 5B on the GA 400. I can't wait to see some of those roads!

Hell, I'll be down the road a bit. Work anyway. I commute in from Lawrenceville. Work just below where 400 starts at 85. Have you found a house yet? Check out the Storm Fronts for some of my favorite areas to ride.

Clarence, I used JC Motors to transport my XB12s from Connecticut to Fort Worth for $650. Only the fuel needed to be drained. They picked it up and dropped it off when they said they would. On their tracking system I noticed it stopped in Atlanta for a few days, maybe one of their hubs.

you see signs like that around here. The best are the ones warning the truckers of "the next 15 has many switch backs choose an alternate route

Nope, but if you go to "Storm Fronts" and scroll down to "Metro Atlanta BRAG Group" Mike (Buellish) can help you out. They don't have "meetings" but they ride every first Sunday of each month. Details you'll find at "Storm Fronts"
