I am starting this in hopes that I can get some input on the best tank bags available for the XB12R. Obviously the magnetic ones are out of the question : ), but I was wanting to hear particular likes and dislikes of different brands and models. I like a roomy bag an also would like to have the clear cover for reading directions (not rich enough to have a GPS). Anyway, just let me know what you thoughts are. Thanks!

Not neccessillyarily, you can glue (duct tape) magnets along the underside of the air box cover.

SCSI hard drive magnets worked to stick a Cortech Sport Mini on mine. Only problem is that a grain of sand plus a V-twin equals a chewed-up airbox. This time 'round I got an X-guard airbox just in case.

I was at the Chicago Bike show and I came across a Nelson-Rigg display. I would check them out, http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/.

I know I posted this pick before but I just love my buell tank bag. I could not be happier. It works great and its adjustable. It always stays tight and I can actually lean on it when im getting down on the highway. Its great!! And it looks like its made for my bike, OH! Wait! it is made for my bike. My girl is an artist and photographer. She said the lines compliment the bikes. The bag and bike work together.

I like the Buell bag, with those easy snap clips for taking it with you if you want. Plus it has the extender section with that zipper wrap around feature.
Of course I put my maps in the clear cover too!
