This is a continuation of the 1125R handlebar thread, here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/529555.html?1266335919
with regard to the application of the jogged bars on a XB-R firebolt. One of our customers got a set and installed them, and took a number of pictures.

His comments are: They fit, they work well, but some mechanical work is needed. The Firebolt fairing will have some interference at the width that they are on the 1125R. He cut about an inch off of them, and then added the switch pod holes for the new location based on that width. This was because the master cylinder would hit the fairing at the normal width. A new clutch cable is required, but based on what he said, a Lightning clutch cable should work just fine (as will our Hydraulic clutch conversion, which I HIGHLY recommend). As with the 1125R, those that like a LOT of forward lever dip won't like these, as there is some constraints on how far you can dip the levers. But Dan said that he found them at an acceptable angle as installed, and I thought the same on the 1125R installation. Some minor re-routing of the electrical wires is required, but is fairly trivial.

Here are the pictures:

When the first batch is sold out, I'll make more, and will make some minor adjustments to them. I'm not sure that they will be 100% firebolt compliant then without some rework either, but I'll work on that.

They're here if anyone is interested: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/A16502.html

Couple of questions. Do you have to have a different set of grips? Stock won't work? And will the universal bar end weights still work with these? Would appreciate any input and I have waited for these to come out for some time!

Also, it says you are not sure i it is 100% Firebolt compliant, but the first few pics look like the XB FIrebolt. Am I mistaken?

Oooops! Perhaps I should read a little more closely. Saw alot of questions answered in the first paragraph, but I was so excited about the pics, I skipped over.

Experience & issues with using Rox Bar Risers: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16108.html on an XB-R?
Why aren't they recommended?

I expect fairing conflict both sides like pictured above and longer cables.

Al, you rock. When you get the bars Firebolt ready I will put in my order! This might finally convince me to do the heated grips as well...

Rox risers won't work for several reasons on an XB-R model. No time to go into the details at present, but they won't lock in and not rotate without some machining, and the lever rotation issues are unmanageable. Several folks have looked into it, they just don't work.

Firebolt version of the bars are ready. They come pre-cut to the length needed to work on a firebolt. Not up on the website yet, should be this weekend. But they are in stock and can be shipped any time. Part number is A16503.

These have been discontinued. See http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/759636.html?1427915027 if you're interested in these.
