I was wondering if someone could help me with the removal of my header? last summer i dumped the bike and its scratched up and worn off so i wanted to take it off and weld it up but now that i started looking at removing it there seemed to be some issues with getting the one back nut off thats by the sensor...If someone could give me some tips on how to get it off id greatly appreciate it, thanks

You pretty much have to either have the engine rotated forward or the frame lifted off. I just recently did this and found that with the frame off it was 20x easier. Plus, when you go to reinstall it that will make tqing the nuts on easier. You want those on correct otherwise broke stem bolts happen.

Oh, there's also some sort of clip that will have to be removed as well to get the headers loose.

You have a Service manual I'm assuming, right?

Read the following link...be sure to take note what the user "Bud" has posted

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/36208.html

I read the above link and decided to remove the header by removing the rear shock and engine cooling fan (both very simple)
Removing the header is easier than everyone makes it out to be...although not simple by any means.
The key to this method is patience. Be sure to spray head bolts with PB blaster and use a wobbly and extension to remove the rear head bolts. Remember to remove the front right subframe bolt and free front right subframe. Also once it's finally time to remove the header itself, keep in mind that the header will need to spin/ thread out and will be upside down once it comes out.
The removal is easier than it seems and the entire job only took me and a buddy about 3 hours.
