I'm coming up on my first emissions test here in Phoenix, anyone had one done yet here? Whats the process. They just kinda looked at my Hawk GT and passed it. |

All you do is sit there on the bike while they stick a sniffer up your tailpipe( only hurts the first time) Idle for a few seconds, rev it up to about 2000, hold that for a few and then back to idle for a few more seconds. Pay them the $19. and your on your way to getting tags or the shop to lean it out a little more. If you fail the first time, it's 1 free retest. |

Got it done, They hooked up sensors to the 2 pipe outlets, I sat there and let it Idle for about 2 minutes, test done, passed. Never had to go above Idle.Race ECM, Open Airbox rerouted breathers. It passed so low below the fail mark it was silly. It was a fraction of a percentage of max allowable. |

Maybe the tester guy just liked the sound of my uncorked Force exhaust, or was trying to drown out the yelling of his Boss. |
