Thought I'd post a few pics of my finished bike. Had a bunch of parts PC'd by Rich Hammer. Here she is, I just love the look, even though the 09's and 10's stole my thunder!!! http://s1005.photobucket.com/albums/af176/boney95/ ?start=40 |

Na, I like the look of the pipes as they are. Don't need anything else shiny on it.) |

A+,Very well done got to be one of the best I have seen, the best part is that it doesn't look like it was customised, that it was always supposed to look that way,in addition to my XB9R I have a 1995 black Ducati Monster that is done up similar, and nobody can tell how much was done till you park it next to a stocker.I live in Mukwonago on the edge of the Kettle Moraine with some of the best roads around,if your ever in the area, stop by and we can go riding, Brian 262-470-5300 |

Looks great! I would polish those headers though. Just onse and they will turn bronze again but they will look much better and more even. My girl even says it looks way better. So even the chicks dig it. Here is what they look like after one 30 min ploish with WD40 and a green scrubby pad after a few hundred miles. They do not shine bright so you dont have to worrie about that. Of course you dont have to do anything if you dont want.

Brain, will do. The Southern Kettle is my favorite. You should also look into Brew City ThunderBikes. We're posted in Storm Fronts. Meetings every second Wed at Hal's. Good times... Keith, yeah man, I just like the blue/purple of the headers. Makes it look mean |

Boney, Love the bike - What fender eliminator are you using on there? |

Thanks there Dana. Padave, it's just a grater chop done by Odie (SpecialOps). He's a sponsor here, check him out. You send your tail to him and he cuts it and paints. Quality work. |

Looks awesome. What's it like to drive in the rain without the plastic fender and guard? I'm doing something similar with my 07 XB12Ss...got the crossroads...still unsure about running the cables behind the flyscreen ...might need spacers or drill holes for the cables each side. The gap is just very tight between the forks and gauge/housing. I didn't drop the forks just undid the housing to get room. Looks like you got your cables to work out without the drilling any advice? Also going to get the tailsection from American Sportsbike and change out the signals...also gonna do the gas mask thing...picked one up a year ago. |

Koolkim, I don't ride in the rain, but if I get caught my back gets a bit more wet and dirty. As for the CrossRoads, I just followed AmericanSportBikes instructions. If you don't have them, I can send you a PDF. It took some trial and error, but everything worked out. I did have my forks dropped. I don't see how it would be possible to route the cables if you did not, since the cables have to fit between the forks and the gauge cluster. The key is to have the clutch cable on top of the switch housing wires, and the throttle cables must be under the switch housing wires. Any other questions just let me know. Thanks Toecutter! Back in Black Yeah I don't know what I was thinking, I should of PC'ed the primary and cam covers. I'll have to wait until next winter. |
