this it a picture of the back of the braket.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v163/cunfewzed/m otorbike/BackSide1.jpg

to get it to bolt up to your tube frame bike you are going to need to fab up something to accommodate the fact that the firebolt bracket does not have the same spaced wholes as the s3 holes. This picture below will show you what I mean.

I hope this helps

unfortunatly I do not have pictures of this stuff and I cannot exactly take pictures of it as I am half a world away from my bike and I did not do the work, I bought my bike with this already done to it.

Maybe some one eles who maybe has the firebolt parts book or something can get you a parts lay out diagram and part numbers.

Ebutch,
You do know that the local dealer will have the parts books and you can look at all the pages, right?
All that is needed for this conversion is to make a set of brackets to mate the XB fairing support to the brackets already on all M2 / S3 frames. No dealer parts for that one. Also, while the XB speedo can be made to work on a Tuber platform, it's not easy. It might be easier to make a new plate to hold your current tach/speedo and not have to rewire the front half of the instrument harness. If you decide to go with the XB instruments, talk to rickie d, he's done it. By the way, be careful if you go the eBay route for the bracket. It's a $139. new dealer part that usually sells for close to $200. there!

Ebutch,

As I said in the messages we've exchanged, you need the magnesium fairing mount bracket that Froggy shows above. The fairing mounts to it with the turn signals and mirrors.

if you notice on my bike it still uses the stock M2 gauges the person who made this mod on it just drilled some hole into the bracket and bolted it in place of the firebolt gauges.

Kevin Buell dlr. is 40 mi. away.I am on a project of some thing I don,t have information. Is not what BadWeb is for.I know some fools will over pay for parts, another thing this place is for.I do not need information on how to fab. speedo. And I can save information much easier at home. After all dlr could be busy at many times.Which Leaves me back to still needing parts view of FireBolt head light set up so I can figger out my next move.So Kevin If this bothers You Just Ignore It!!!!!!Thanks helpers!!!Butch

also if you go this rout for gauges I would recommend putting some padded double sided tape behind it to keep the gauges from vibrating as the only part that is secured is the bottom.

If I'm not mistaken, Kevin provided some useful information. Not sure where the attitude comes from. Actually, I do know...some people can't help themselves.

Anyway, heed Kevin's advice and make a 40 trip to your dealer. If you're undertaking a project, its a small price to pay. You can always pick up a parts book while you are there. They ARE for sale.

Wow, Eddie, lots of attitude there.
You may find that when you look at the parts manual you will discover some little piece that makes it all work. I know I have. But if you don't want to make the investment in time, thats your deal. The dealer I use for parts is about 40 miles from me also. Not the closest dealer, but the one I use. A bright guy like you might figure out what I'm saying here. I was trying to help you, but I'll take your advise, and f-off. Good luck!
